Missing You ending (ep 16-20) review

*Spoiler alert, + this post is quite long!! * I finally finished watching this serie! Although it was a bit boring at the beginning, it good really good at the end :) Like most series that deal with "cases", the last case of the series is ALWAYS related to the main characters themselves. This was no different for Missing You. It all started with Yu Fong's brother, Yu Pak who's grades dropped and didn't enter university, so he left home. Yu Fong was really worried, and it was nice to see Yik Him accompanying her to go everywhere to search for him. He even got hit by the bad guys at the bar, but luckly Sam's father called the police and they were saved :) I was glad they FINALLY told what happened to Yu Pak's foot, I was waiting for that since episode one, when Yu Fong was having a flashback of herself searching for her brother! Anyways, so Yu Pak was found in the end by his sister and is fine :) Thanks to his friend Sam, too!

Then, they talked about Yik Him's case. I was like OMGG when Hailey when to their office and said she was looking for her brother, Sze Yik Him. I thought he Yik Him was gonna say it was him right away xD But he didn't, and I was really impatient to see Hailey's reaction to know that he was his brother. When he finally decided to tell her, everything when so quick! I thought there was gonna be the traditional tvb problem, "I don't want to see my mom" or something like that, but it didn't happen. He called her "mom" right away. I was really suprised to see her mom, I think Mary Hon did really good at acting (probably the make up artists did a great job too xD) cause she really did look super sick. It was so sad when they came back from Ocean Park, and when Yik Him finally was able to talk to his mom...she passed away. :( I was really sad for him, but at least he had a sister ♥

Then, they talked bout Vincci and Marcus a bit. Marcus is so evil! I hate him. He used Vincci for everything. When Vincci came back, Yik Him was so nice to him! It was HER that kinda dumped him, but it was him that helped her out through everything. It was a bit awkward though when she moved back into his house since Yik Him's co-worker, the computer guy, was there. It was funny when he told later to Crystal that he didn't know anything about their relationship, stayed in the room the whole time and said he wouldn't have dare to come out no matter what!

More about Yik Him's family now. He realized he had a father after reading her mom's diary message to him, and cried. I thought he was mad at him and wouldn't forgive him...but again, I was wrong. He's really way too much of a nice guy! Sam's mom, on the other hand, is a really bad women. Her voice sounded mean since the beginning, but since Sam is a nice guy, I didn't really suspected her to be a villain. I started doubting more when she asked all sort of questions to Vincci, and when she individually met Yik Him, I realized that she was really bad. I honestly thought that what she said in the first place to Yik Him was real.....I was so upset to know that it wasn't, and she just didn't wanted Yik Him to be with his father again. After Sam knew about the news he locked himself up at the band practice place. Then, Yik Him, Yu Fong and her brother, and both of his parents went up there. When the women pretended to be sick, I got really mad. Then, Yu Fong stood up and told the truth. I was excied when she was doing it, and I was like "Let's go Yu Fong! Denounce her!! " Loll, I really wanted the father to know everything...and then finally everything exploded. I thought Sam would be mad at her mother for being so "bad" since he was for his dad, but he wasn't, which surprised me a bit. Yik Him was SO NICE that he even pretend to be mad at her so she would do the surgery! Seriously, I was like, are there really guys this nice? Loll. And the happy part is that Yu Fong helped him through everything! :)

Then, the actual ending. I was getting a bit depressed toward the end of the series because I thought Yik Him and Yu Fung would never hook up and Yik Him was just going to go back with Vincci, because there was like less then 20 minutes left and nothing was happening xD At least Vincci I guess "learned her lesson", and became kinder. She finally let go of her relationship with Yik Him and told him to go after the one he likes. I was like come on, Yik Him, go find Yu Fong now! xD I thought everything was really over when Yu Fong was leaving...cause usually, in series, someone comes to tell some news to the guy, then the guy go runs after the girl. This time, it was just Yik Him discovering the messages in the wheel :) It was so sweet of Yu Fong!! ♥♥ He ran and ran and ran...I was getting tired for him! And I was so afraid he'd get an accident or something. Then, he got up on the thing and yelled for Yu Fong. The part where the girl that was standing with her boyfriend was kinda funny. She was like, "Are you Yu Fong?", so Yu Fong just cried, and she yelled "Yu Fong's over here!!!!!" I really liked it :D It was sooo romantic. Yik Him is so sweet!! Ohhh and forgot to mention another funny part, when Yik Him ran up to Yu Fong's house and asked where she was, and the father was all confused, and her mom said he was so retarded (joking) xD And then, the director of the office, I thought he should have had the chance to meet the girl! It seemed a bit unfinished that he ended up thinking the girl turned into the fat girl xD Same thing for Crystal and the computer guy, wish they could have a more perfect ending.....meaning ending up as a couple because they're the other "Yik Him and Yu Fong" since they help each other a lot and are each other's work partner :) Also wish Yu Fong and Yik Him could have had a kiss scene. But anyways, I'm still satisfied with the ending :D

Morals of the story:

Forgive & Forget (Yik Him forgiving his mom for abandoning him, his stepmom for lying to him, Vincci for not trusting him ; that's what makes him such a loveable character.)

Take advantage of the present moment because time doesn't last forever (Yik Him and his relationship with his mom)

Go after what you love (Yik Him & Yu Fong's relationship, Yik Him wanting to give up on his job, Yu Fong wanting to give up on her job)

Be careful about who you trust (Marcus, Yik Him's stepmom, everyone who has lied in all the cases they followed. )

With that, I'll let you guys think about it yourself about the themes and morals of the story! :)

Linda Chung forms a "Miss Virgin" band - thoughts

The news is right here : http://asianuniverse.net/forums/Linda_Chung_to_hold_Concert_in_March_Forms_a_Miss_Virgin_t352621.html&s=b2c5f6f147d49df6eb12c3904fa11237

This is just a really quick thoughts write up :) I knew about this news a few days ago, and I was really excited for Linda!! I hope everything works out for her! The name "miss virgin" is a bit weird for a music band though... why not something like "Canadian Chinese girls" or whatever? They're all from there and Eliza, Christine and Leanne even have an accent xD (Dunno about Grace? Never saw her acting) Anyways, like you guys know, Linda Chung's my favorite actress so I'm super happy. :) I also really like Eliza Sam after watching Divas in Distress, and Christine Kuo too after Ghetto Justice II! So I'm really happy they can do it with Linda. The other two actresses, I don't know them too much xD I have seen Leanne Li in The Other Truth, she was playing Ruco's half-sister. Grace Wong, I have no idea who she is :P But Christine says she can sing so yeahh :) Christine said she could play eletric violin, Leanne could play guitar and Grace could sing /dance...I was wondering, what about Eliza? loll. Anyone know what instrument she can play or if she can dance, or anything? xD Anyways, hoping the best for the girls! Even if I wont be able to attend the concert, I'll be looking forward for news and pics of it! :)

Missing You ep 15 review

For all the upcoming episodes, I'm going to watch them probably next weekend, so for now I'll do a short review on only episode 15 :)

First of all, they're finally done with the little girl's case!! It was so heartbreaking to see her suffer when they had to disinfect her burning and she was all crying, also when they said they had to do a skin surgery on her!!    And it was so sad when she was at the court, and when the judge asked her what happened, she was scared to re-think of the situation. But I was glad to see the scene where she came out of the room and saw her real mom, didn't had a reaction, and then saw her parents and was really happy :D And luckily  the judge saw, and I think it's probably that that made him make up his mind about the girl :) I'm just a bit surprised that they haven't talked about the guy that was on the sofa & the neighbor, I was sure they'd come out to speak up about the truth! Cause there's a part where they said "everyone who could come to be a witness came..." so I was just wondering what the guy would have said, because they didn't show it. At least there's this nice boxing guy who told the truth :) Anyways, the lil girl's fine in the end so I'm happy :)

Marcus...I hate Marcus!! He's such a liar, and he's so mean to Yu Fong :( I was so mad when he forced her to admit that he liked Yik Him, and was even calling him!! I was like, what do you want???? But it seems like he wants to use Yu Fong to make Vincci and Yik Him to break up, so then he could be with Vincci. He's so evil! I hate him, and he's really creepy!! At the end of the episode, Crystal saw them, so now I'm wondering if she's gonna tell anyone about it...loll. Also I wonder if Crystal and the other guy who works at the center will be a couple! What do you guys think? :P

Plans for 2013

My Christmas break is coming to an end...last day tomorrow! :( So before that, I just wanted to state out what I plan on for this year, in my general life as well as on this blog :)

Lol, I know I'm a bit late doing this, here are my new year resolutions:

1- Be less shy with people & talk more to others.
2- Stop daydreaming when I'm studying and doing homework and concentrate better.
3- Post at least once every two weeks on this blog, and by post I mean productive posts, not just updates on my life xD

For this blog & about TVB stuffs:

2012 catch up to do : Tiger Cubs + this time, I'll try to do a review on EVERY episodes since it's only 13 episodes :)

2013 series I'd watch:  (check out 2013's upcoming series here : http://asianuniverse.net/forums/TVB_NEW_UPCOMING_SERIES_INFO_2013_t952.html )

-I hope The Hippocratic Crush II will be airing by summer vacations, I really can't wait to watch it!!! My most anticipated series for 2013 :)

-Triumph in the Skies II, it seems quite interesting, especially since there is Myolie Wu, Ron Ng, Fala Chen and Him Law :) But I haven't watched the first one...will I be still fine or do I need to watch the first one first? xD

-Big Wheel : Just cause it's a modern serie and there's Linda, there's Ruco, there's Edwin :P

That's about it for now xD I will choose the other series I watch probably by their ratings and feedbacks from viewers :)

As for this blog, like I mentioned above, I'll try to come here more often even if I have school. About my fan fiction, chapter 2 will be up today, but I will stop writing the rest for now because it takes way too much time. I have outlined the story though! :) So, it's on hold until perhaps march break!!

For my Candy blog....I'm considering changing it into a "newbie actress blog" for Candy AND other newbies actress. This or making it into a blog about TVB actress that came from Canada, so it'll include Candy, Eliza, Aimee, etc. I dunno yet, I'm looking for collaboratos too, because I don't think I'll be able to handle a blog about so many artists on my own xD I'll make a more detailed post about it soon, but if you're interested already, comment below or in the chatbox :)

Misssing You ep 10-14 review

Happy ending to Long Gor's case, yayy :) I'm so glad they ended up both healthy and his restaurant even re-opened!! Now, they're dealing with the little girl's case. Her real mom, Cherry (played by Charmaine Li)  abandoned her to the "auntie" that became her "mommy" for 3 years. Ah Him & Yu Fong when everywhere to ask about Cherry. With what they've learn at the beginning, I was like wow  Cherry is such a bad and careless person! But when they found her, I thought she changed a lot. She seemed a lot nicer, for some reasons, I thought she would hate on her daughter!! But she hugged her and said she was sorry, so I really thought she changed.....but no. She was faking!! I was so mad at her when they arrived at the party and when Koey (The birthday girl) wanted the girl's teddy bear, Cherry took it away from her daughter and gave it to Koey. Then, she kept on yelling her own daughter and said it was her fault that she lost her job!!! It was even worse when Cherry was fighting with her mom and the hot water felt on the lil girl, and all they did was keeping fighting!! :( Poor thing....She's sooo cute, nice and smart, she doesn't deserve all that!! I watched the promo for the next episode, she'll be going to court, but she broke down and cried....I'm so worried for her!!

The latest episodes also talked a lot about Yu Fong, Ah Him and Vincci's relationship. I'm glad Yu Fong and Vincci became friends, but I'm a bit upset about the whole Marcus thing....Marcus, I don't know why...but he seems like a bad guy. He kept asking awkward questions to Yu Fong at the bar, and I didn't like him too much. And he'll also probably have something with Vincci later on....

New banner + Weibo feature :)

Finally got the new banner, that features Linda & Jason from Missing You :D Credits go to Lynne from TVB Horizon :)

Also, I added my personal weibo as a new feature on the right side! Follow me on it for quicker updates & more thoughts on TVB artists, since from there, I can really connect with the real artists. It will therefore allow me to share & comment on their weibos & new pics sooner then through a long blog post :D

My Favorite TVB couple [Manhim]

Mandy and Him are officialy my favorite on-screen couple after watching Divas in Distress!!! They're just wayy too cute together.

Jayne stars have many articles on them, you can check them out here :
http://www.jaynestars.com/news/mandy-wong-him-law-is-not-my-cup-of-tea/
http://www.jaynestars.com/news/him-law-and-mandy-wong-share-bed-scene-in-divas-in-distress/
http://www.jaynestars.com/news/him-law-and-mandy-wongs-puppy-love-relationship/

Even if Mandy is two years older them Him, they really share a special chemistry with each other, and maybee it's because they have collaborated so much together, and know each other well. They have been seen last year in Suspects in Love, L'Escargot,The Hippocratic Crush, Tiger Cubs and Divas in Distress. Altough I watched L'Escargot, THC and DID and they were only playing a couple in DID, the fact that they are both newbies and at the same level of  "TVB popularity", I really like seeing them together :) I am now even considering watching Tiger Cubs..just to see them together!
Check out here the GIFs from tumblr that I posted of Mandy & Him :)
I swear that on tumblr, you just have to type in "Divas In Distress" and almost everything you'll get is on Mandy and Him!! I guess I'm not the only one who really likes them as a couple :P
Look at the pic just above.....don't they seem like such a CUTE couple???

Haha anyways...here are more stufff I found of them :D I did NOT make those...so credits to tumblr and youtube!!

Random nice fanvideos I've found on Youtube :)

Interview with them : )

As you noticed (I hope...) I have just changed the layout for 2013 :)
The background consists of tiny pictures of scenes in TVB series I have seen last year!
* The banner is temporary, I'll have a new and nicer one soon xD But for now, I have this one of Mandy & Him since I am veryy obsessed with them as an on screen couple after watching Divas In Distress!

Also, my next posts will be ch.2 of my fanfic and also a post about my favorite tvb pairings...Mandy and Him! xD

Newbies actresses thoughts

I created this post to talk about TVB newcomers I've seen for the past few years (: I feel like they've been heavily promoted recently, and might become the next top TVB FaDans. My "seen her in" only include the series where I remember them in it, because some had cameo roles in popular series, but I never actually noticed.

Christine Kuo (Seen her in Forensic Heroes IIIGhetto Justice II)
Although I heard many negative feedback on Christine Kuo's acting this year, I don't think she was THAT bad, at least in Ghetto Justice II (only series I saw of her.) She was at least nominated this year for most improved actress. I guess it's hard for her since her mother tongue is not Cantonese  Many people also think that her acting was better in her scene with King Kong, where she spoke Mandarin, so I guess it's her acting that's bad, but the fact that she tries to concentrate on her speaking, so she pays less attention to her actual acting.

Eliza Sam (Seen her in Divas in Distress)
She has about the same problem then Christine, but I think she handles it a lot better then her. She seemed a lot more natural when she talks and interacts with others. Her role in Divas in Distress has earned her many fans. She plays a very innocent and naive, but yet cute and funny girl in it, so I think what role she gets has a huge impact on whether the audience likes her or not. I'm a bit surprised though that this was only her 2nd series, but she got a huge supporting role in it. Anyways, I know that she'll be in The Hippocratic Crush II, so I can't wait to see more from her in it (:

Candy Chang (Seen her in The Hippocratic Crush, Divas in Distress)
I really loved Candy after watching The Hippocratic Crush. I even made a blog for her (even if I'm not really active anymore..) But yeah, since she's only 23 right now, I thought she'd have plenty of opportunity in front of her. But since the news about her dealing with drugs and stuff...I heard that she might be taken out of The Hippocratic Crush II :/ Anyone know more about this? Unlike most of the other newbies, even if Candy sis from Canada, she can speak perfect Cantonese as well as English, Mandarin and Japanese. So I guess it's an advantage to her, and also hope that her latest news won't affect her career for the upcoming years (:

JJ Jia (Seen her in L'Escargot, Ghetto Justice II)

I haven't noticed JJ much until this year. I think her role in L'Escargot and in Ghetto Justice II really show us different sides of her, one who's shy & reserved, another one who's really more social and likes to help people. I thought she'd be nominated for most improved actress...but anyways, I'm not a huge fan of her so it doesn't really matter xD Ohh and also, she has a mandarin accent too, while speaking, but I don't think it changes anything in her acting :) TVB seem like they like to promote girls who can't speak Cantonese perfect, and say they come from foreign countries, don't they? xD

Cilla Kung (Seen her in Beyond the realm of ConscienceYes, Sir! Sorry, Sir!, Forensic Heroes III, The Other Truth, Daddy Good Deeds, Witness Insecurity, Missing You)

I started noticing her in YSSS, and I realized she played Selena's servant when I re-watched BTROC. In all the series I've seen of Cilla, she has the same "little girl" role...because she looks so young and naive. But I think in a few years, when she matures more, she could get other roles, because her acting is quite good (: In the Forensic Heroes III, she acted as a young girl who had autism, and I was really impressed by her! In Daddy Good Deeds, she was also very funny to watch :P She's pretty, speaks Cantonese fine and is only 26 right now, so she has plenty of opportunity in front of her (: Right now I'm watching Missing You, and I think her character is pretty interesting in it!

Mandy Wong (Seen her in Ghetto Justice, Lives of Omission, L'Escargot, The Hippocratic Crush, Divas in Distress)

Mandy's my favorite among everyone that I mentioned in this post (: She's the one who I've seen improve the most, and I think her efforts really show in her work. I never even noticed her at all in Ghetto Justice, and I haven't realize she played Myolie's assistant in it until I went back on wikipedia to know more about her..after I saw her in The Hippocratic Crush. I haven't seen all series in order, after Ghetto Justice, this year, I saw The Hippocratic Crush, then Lives of Omissions, then L'Escargot, then Divas in Distress. When I first saw THC, I thought her acting was really good for a newbie. In LOO, I noticed her even more and in L'Escargot, I thought she really stepped it up. She was really in her character if annoying wife/mom, and I thought she really made us audience hate her for her character, but love her for her acting... If you know what i mean :P In DID, no doubts that once again, she made the audience love her character, especially since she was paired up with Him :) Looking forward to see her in The Hippocratic Crush II! Plus she won Most Improved Actress award this year, so I believe that she can GO BIG (:
