TVB Anniversary Awards- Thoughts + Fashion

I watched the TVB awards yesterday, and I'm satisfied with pretty much all results (:

Results thoughts

I won't talk about those "variety show" or "programme" awards since I don't watch those xD But here's my thoughts on the other awards! I havent watched all the dramas, but I'll still make a comment on the important awards (:

Best Actor in a Leading Role: Wayne Lai (The Confidant
I haven't watched The Confidant...but I know that Wayne probably deserves it! He's really a great award...no wonder he won it again! (Especially since so many artist left TVB...)

Best Actress in a Leading Role: Tavia Yeung (Silver Spoon, Sterling Shackles)
I knew Tavia would win it, but I thought it would be for her role in The Hippocratic Crush instead of Silver Spoon. I haven't watched this either, but it was really time for Tavia to get this award! She has probably been working for TVB the longest, out of all the other nominees. She wasn't a pageant winner, so she really worked to get this, she used to have tiny roles such as "news reporter", or "secretary" (according to wikipedia), but she climbed her way to get Best Actress! Congratz to Tavia!

Best Actor in a Supporting Role: Koo Ming Wa (Divas In Distress
I'm watching Divas right now, so I don't have too much to say...but he's quite funny xD I haven't noticed him much, I only remember him from the soldier in Ten Brothers!

Best Actress in a Supporting Role: Nancy Wu (Gloves Come Off)
I haven't watch this serie (Yes I know I seem like I haven't watched anything xD) but I have seen Nancy in many series for the past years, and finally, she got her best supporting role award! My best memory of her acting was in Forensic Heroes III where she was nominated for this award last year too, so I guess she stepped it up even more this time! And about the actual "giving" of the award, where they called out her and Mandy, it really showed who's newbie and who's been there for long...Mandy was soooo nervous!! Haha xD I was like awww omgg :P I found it so funny when Nancy started reading, and Mandy wasn't, so Nancy was like, "We're reading this together!!!" Just had to make a comment on that xD

My Favorite TV Male Character: Kenneth Ma (The Hippocratic Crush
Heyy, this is a serie that I did watch completly, yayy finally! :D I have seen Kenneth Ma for a long time, and I think it does show in THC that he really tried to give his best, so congratz for him! (: ...Anyone noticed how nervous he was when he was receiving that award & trying to thank everyone without forgetting anyone? :P he was so cute haha xD

My Favorite TV Female Character: Kate Tsui (Highs and Lows
I haven't watched the serie xD But I was a bit disappointed about the nominations...thought Linda would be in! But I know Kate has been working hard in TVB...so yeahh (:

Most Improved Actor: Oscar Leung (L'Escargot, The Confidant, Tiger Cubs)
I only watched L'Escargot of him, but I can tell he has put a lot of efforts in his acting (: I first remember him from Shine on You (2004) where he was a student....he has grown so much from then!!!

Most Improved Actress: Mandy Wong (L'Escargot, The Hippocratic Crush, Tiger Cubs, Divas In Distress
I don't think anyone could have deserved this award better then Mandy... I have watched a lot of her dramas and I can tell she has improved a lot. I have actually never noticed her in Ghetto Justice, but in The Hippocratic Crush, I was like wow, this new artist is really good! And in L'Escargot, even more with her role as the wife/mom. When I saw Lives of Omission afterward, I saw that she has grown a lot from 2011 to 2012. She was really in it! I'm currently watching Divas, can't wait to see more from her! :D

Best Series: When Heaven Burns
This serie is airing right now on Fairchild...I haven't paid much attention to it until I heard that it won Best Serie...mmm but I think it's so-so. I thought THC was going to win!.

Fashion time (:

My favorite dresses are definitely Tavia's, Aimee's, and Mandy's. The three of them have simple dresses, but they looked beautiful in it and really suited them for the event!

Nice dresses (:

Could have chosen better...

Least favorites....

Character review: Lawyers

TVB loves legal dramas...and I do too... Eveb if some of them freak me out xD Some of them are not even legal dramas, but they lawyers play huge roles in it. I just felt like stating this list out, thought this could be pretty intersting :)

The female lawyers

Ella Koon in Survivor's Law II (2007)
Facts: Girly, rich, spoiled, stubborn, but kind in the end

Linda Chung in Heart of Greed (2007)
Facts: Lacks confidence, young, poor, pure and innocent, sweet, kind, willing to learn

Tavia Yeung in The Other Truth (2011)
Facts: Stubborn, strong, confident, follows the rules

Facts: Very stubborn, strong, confident, fearless, ambitious, likes to win

Kate Tsui in Lives of Omission (2011)
Facts: Selfish, cool, vilain

Myolie Wu in Ghetto Justice 1 & 2 (2011 & 2012)
Facts: Confident, kind, loves to help others, strong

Similars :

Tavia Yeung, Myolie Wu and Nancy Wu. The three of them are so strong and confident. The three others are quite different!

The male lawyers

Kenneth Ma in Survivor's Law II (2007)
Facts: No manners, rough background

Raymond Lam in Heart of Greed (2007)
Facts: Intelligent, ambitous, unwilling to admit his mistakes, wants to be always right

Facts: Does NOT follow the rules, likes to do everything his own way, ambitious, fearless, likes to help others

Raymond Wong in The Other Truth (2011)
Facts: Cunning, wealthy, isn't concentrated on his work, takes it easy, doesn't like his job too much

Kevin Cheng in Ghetto Justice 1 & 2 (2011 & 2012)
Facts: No manners, likes to help others, unorganized,

Smiliars

Kenneth Ma and Kevin! They remind me so much of each other.
Raymond Lam and Ruco Chan, both so ambitious!

+ One thing they all have in commun, males and females, they're all so smart and intelligent :)

If you have any other ideas of interesting lawyers, or have more facts/similarities to add, please comment below :) I'd be very interested to know what you think!

Moonlight Resonance Character Review [Younger Generation Actors]

Here's the younger generation's character review...but there are so much interesting characters! godd I feel like this is gonna be a loonggg post! Let's start with the ladies first :)

Ah Yuet played by Tavia Yeung
I loved loved loved her character! She was a stubborn girl with a nice heart...Everything Sa Yi and Ka Mei did to her made me feel very sad for her :( She had a really awkard relationship with Ah Ka since they were siblings, although she was adopted. And I think she did really well in her numerous crying scenes, no wonder why she won the Best Supporting Actress award that year!
Ah Tsau played by Linda Chung
Ah Tsau was my favorite character....her relationship storyline was also very interesting! She was torn in between two men, one who's her stepbrother and one who already has a girlfriend. She was very kind and knew what right decisions she had to make, even if they were not easy. I'm glad she ended up with Goon Ga Jai! :)
Ah Hing played by Fala Chen
Although Fala only had a minor supporting role, I think she did extremly great as acting as a mute girl! Since she could not talk, her acting skills had to be shown in her facial expressions. I think it was also very hard, since she had to learn all the signs, but she did it well! :) And also I loved her relationship with Kevin, they were so cute together!
Ka Mei played by Kate Tsui
Ka Mei was the main vilain from the younger generations....she was so evil....Fortunatly she still has a minimum of heart and became nicer after her mother saved her from a car accident! I definetly think she does a better pair with Ah Yuen rather then Ah Ka :) I'm glad she ended up with Ah Yuen so that Ah Yuet could be with Ah Ka!
Goon Ga Jai played by Raymond Lam
Goon Ga Jai was definetly my favorite male character from the whole drama! He was so kind with everyone, especially his family. He's the second oldest but he seem to have taken the role of the oldest and took well care of all his siblings. Love him so much :) Plus he makes a perfect match with Ah Tsau even if they're stepsiblings ♥

Ah Ka played by Moses Chan
Ah Ka was so funny....Moses really got into his character well! I loved the scene were he annoyed his ex-boss Eliza with his ringtone that he recoreded from Ah Yuet's phone. I'm so glad him and Ah Yuet could be together after their relation was ruined by Ka Mei. I'm also glad he didn't die, haha I thougth he died at the end of the serie when he closed his eyes, but he didn't ^^
Dr. Ling played by Bosco Wong
And finally...last but not least, Dr. Ling played by Bosco Wong :) He was such an intersting and intriguing character....He was kind of not so nice to Wing Lam, but in the end, he still stayed by her side until her last moments and left Ah Tsau to Goon Ga Jai which makes up for everything :)

TVB Starhub Awards 2012- Fashion

I know the Starhub Awards were a while ago, but I really felt like writtin this fashion post :3It will mostly be about the actresses's dress, but I will also be talking a bit about the actors's oufits and how matching the on-screen couples are:)

Linda's so beautiful in this dress! It is simple but stunning at the same time because of the tiny, shiny and detailed diamants (Or whatever its called xD). I wish I could have a dress like that next year for prom! The pastel blue color really suits her, it gives us the impression of someone pure, young and innocent, and that makes sense since she's the youngest actress there. Plus her hair is so beautifully done! Her and Moses were so cute when they went to get their award together, and when Moses joked that he was the winner of the Best Smile Award. I have not much to say on Moses, despite the fact that even if his hat doesn't suit the event, he still looks kinda cute in it :)

Awww Myolie and Kevin are so cute together! Both of them had a simple but nice looking outfit. They are my pick for best dressed as couple :) And I loved Myolie's dress'color!! It was dark purple-ish, and really stood out since she decided to go simple with no jewleries as well as short hair, really made us focus on the strapless dress!

Tavia and Kenneth are also very matchy. I think Tavia kinda stands out from the other actresses with printed dress instead of a single colored one. Kenneth Ma really matches her with his grey suit and casual looking outfit :D Tavia wore her hair in a ponytail, and I think it would have been even better if she had an updo, but it still looks really nice that she lifted her hair up :)

Even though both Ruco Chan and Selena Li wore really nice outfits, I think their colors could have been more matching. Love Selena Li's dress, another simple looking goregeous choice! :) And her hair, I love her hair! I think she's got best hairstyle out of all the female artists present that night :)

Kate Tsui...her dress was so-so, and her hair...didn't really like it. I don't like how she tucked it backwards, I think it would have look goregous if she just left it natural! And about the guys next to her... I don't know their names but umm. On the left side, I guess he's ok. Is it Sunny Chan?? Looking a bit traditionnal...but fine....and on the right side, I have no idea who he is.....but ummm the hat? O.o Why did he wore that? It reminds me of Bosco in Lives Of Omission...Really didn't like it.

And yeah finally Fala Chen and Wayne Lai....thought they really didn't match. Wayne's outfit was too blue-flashy and Fala.....ususally I like simple, but I didn't like her dress.....I don't like "just white" with no patterns, other colors or even folds. It really looks like as if "she wrapped a bed sheet around her" (Quote credits to Iris from ae experience xD) Not much to say about her hair....
