Character review: Lawyers

TVB loves legal dramas...and I do too... Eveb if some of them freak me out xD Some of them are not even legal dramas, but they lawyers play huge roles in it. I just felt like stating this list out, thought this could be pretty intersting :)

Facts: Girly, rich, spoiled, stubborn, but kind in the end

Linda Chung in Heart of Greed (2007)

Similars :

Tavia Yeung, Myolie Wu and Nancy Wu. The three of them are so strong and confident. The three others are quite different!

The male lawyers

Kenneth Ma in Survivor's Law II (2007)

Raymond Lam in Heart of Greed (2007)
Facts: Intelligent, ambitous, unwilling to admit his mistakes, wants to be always right

Evolve by Myolie Wu

For the past month...I've been fangirling over Myolie Wu non-stop.....yess, I've only become her fan recently, I wrote a post about that previously. You can read it here :  http://tvb-perspective.blogspot.ca/2012/08/my-favorite-tvb-actresses-2-myolie-wu.html

So....since then, I've been searching a lot about her on internet and youtube...I already knew she was a singer but never actually really listened to her songs...until, again, last month :) That's why I'm writting this post now...even if her album came out in 2008! And gooshhh I wish I have started listening to her music before that because it's so good! I didn't know she was such an amazing singer. Her songs are so catchy...and I listen to them everyday now :)

浪漫世紀 (Romantic Century) is my favorite song of the entire album :D I don't even know why I love it so much...I just do xD And my favorite part is when she sings

我有著你 任何地方都有力氣 (I can stay strong at anything with you by my side)
你令我任何事都撐得起 (You can make me go through anything)

I suck at translation...xD but that's kinda what those two sentence mean :)

And this song....gosh this song. It makes me so sad everytime I listen to it but I love it so much. At that time, their relationship wasn't public yet...but while singing together, we could feel their love for each other. I mean, they weren't singing it just to sing it for TVB's theme song, they really meant what they sang. At that time. What makes me even more sad is when they sing :

Oh Baby I love you,
I'll love you everyday

......anyways...their relationship ended so I don't want to talk about it any further since I already made a post about it....

So, now, since I'm currently a huge fan of Myolie Wu, more post of her will come soon :) Banners, Icons, Drawings and moree :)

Ghetto Justice 2 Character Review [Main Leads]

I know I did a post on GJ2 ending review, but this time, I really want to focus on the main characters and their relationship together :)

Kris Wong/Wong Sze Fu/Law Yau portrayed by Myolie Wu

Law Ba/LA/Law Lik Ah portrayed by Kevin Cheng

Myolie Wu and Kevin Cheng's charcaters shared such a chemistry..!!! We could see that they were really into it and they worked really hard, like in the first Ghetto Justice. I think they might be nominated/win this year as well for the TVB anniversary awards for their roles :) Love them as a couple (On screen, of course!) I loved how they love each other by what they did, and not said. Actions are stronger then words. I think they never said "I love you" to each other or anything like that all through the serie, but we could see that...they loved each other so deep they don't need to say it. They love each other so much they could sacrifice anything...

First, there was Kris who helped LA solve the case, like I mentionned previously in one of my reviews. She wasn't afraid of being seen as the "mean one", she just wanted Law Ba's experience to be successful. Then, Lynette. She knew Law Ba would feel bad if Lynette stayed in coma, so she'd rather sacrifice her own relationship with LA so that LA would be happy. Finally, the murder. She wanted to make others think that she did it so Law Ba wouldn't be in jail again.....she loves him so much.

We didn't see LA too much "sacrificing" for Sze Fu, it was more in GJ 1, but we can still see that he really loves his Law Yau. Even when he was in jail, he tried to comic just to see her smile again, and that certainly wasn't the easiest moment for him to joke around, be he wanted his happy Law Yau.
I think both Myolie and Kevin, just like in Ghetto Justice 1, did extremly well in entering their characters. The relationship they shared was so special, it's not like usual romantic couples who hold hands, cuddle, kiss, no, they were so special. They seem to annoy and be mad at each other so often, I don't know how to say that. But I mean, they don't have same opinion on things, and they have very different kind of lifestyles, Kris is more organized and polite, while LA is her opposite. But one thing they have in commun is that they're both super kind and love helping out people without asking anything in return, and that's what bring them together. Some of the best moment they share is when they learn that they've been able to help someone, and nomatter who find the solution of them two.

This is one of my favorite Law Ba and Law Yau moment :)

TVB Starhub Awards 2012- Fashion

I know the Starhub Awards were a while ago, but I really felt like writtin this fashion post :3It will mostly be about the actresses's dress, but I will also be talking a bit about the actors's oufits and how matching the on-screen couples are:)

Linda's so beautiful in this dress! It is simple but stunning at the same time because of the tiny, shiny and detailed diamants (Or whatever its called xD). I wish I could have a dress like that next year for prom! The pastel blue color really suits her, it gives us the impression of someone pure, young and innocent, and that makes sense since she's the youngest actress there. Plus her hair is so beautifully done! Her and Moses were so cute when they went to get their award together, and when Moses joked that he was the winner of the Best Smile Award. I have not much to say on Moses, despite the fact that even if his hat doesn't suit the event, he still looks kinda cute in it :)

Awww Myolie and Kevin are so cute together! Both of them had a simple but nice looking outfit. They are my pick for best dressed as couple :) And I loved Myolie's dress'color!! It was dark purple-ish, and really stood out since she decided to go simple with no jewleries as well as short hair, really made us focus on the strapless dress!

Tavia and Kenneth are also very matchy. I think Tavia kinda stands out from the other actresses with printed dress instead of a single colored one. Kenneth Ma really matches her with his grey suit and casual looking outfit :D Tavia wore her hair in a ponytail, and I think it would have been even better if she had an updo, but it still looks really nice that she lifted her hair up :)

Even though both Ruco Chan and Selena Li wore really nice outfits, I think their colors could have been more matching. Love Selena Li's dress, another simple looking goregeous choice! :) And her hair, I love her hair! I think she's got best hairstyle out of all the female artists present that night :)

Kate Tsui...her dress was so-so, and her hair...didn't really like it. I don't like how she tucked it backwards, I think it would have look goregous if she just left it natural! And about the guys next to her... I don't know their names but umm. On the left side, I guess he's ok. Is it Sunny Chan?? Looking a bit traditionnal...but fine....and on the right side, I have no idea who he is.....but ummm the hat? O.o Why did he wore that? It reminds me of Bosco in Lives Of Omission...Really didn't like it.

And yeah finally Fala Chen and Wayne Lai....thought they really didn't match. Wayne's outfit was too blue-flashy and Fala.....ususally I like simple, but I didn't like her dress.....I don't like "just white" with no patterns, other colors or even folds. It really looks like as if "she wrapped a bed sheet around her" (Quote credits to Iris from ae experience xD) Not much to say about her hair....

Boscolie break up - my thoughts

I said I was gonna do a post about Boscolie...well, here it is! Probably that all of you already know about it, but here's a link to an article about their break up : http://asianuniverse.net/forums/Myolie_Wu_announces_her_break_up_with_Bosco_Wong_t335637.html

Plus, I know, it sounds kinda weird, but Myolie Wu became one of my favorite actresses after they broke up, I wrote a post about that, if you have not already read it, here it is : http://tvb-perspective.blogspot.ca/2012/08/my-favorite-tvb-actresses-2-myolie-wu.html

So, my thoughts about Myolie Wu and Bosco Wong's break up....Like most people, I'm pretty sad about it....but, and now I'm talking about MY THOUGHTS, Bosco fans, please don't be offended...but I think their break up is pretty much Bosco's fault. I think he had a 3rd party, not necesseraly another girlfriend..but someone he had something with. I don't think he had dated 3 girls in 6 months like the news article said, but it's not impossible that he had at least one. Also, when the reporters asked both of them if they had 3rd parties, Myolie said that she didn't had one, but for Bosco, they had to ask him, while Bosco only replied no.  Yes, they both cried, but I think it's a different cry. Myolie is because she got cheated on by the one she loved, while Bosco is because of regret & because Myolie didn't forgive him. Bosco said "I wanted to stay together, but if it doesn't work, then it doesn't work." , but I kind of do not believe him. They "worked" and stayed together 8 years, they've gone through so much. They've only made their relationship public last year, and I think it's because at that time, they were pretty sure they were gonna stay forever, they wouldn't have did it just for fun because of all the rumors. Now Bosco say that it doesn't work?? I think he made it not work. He said stuff like he didn't want Myolie to get hurt...once again..I think it's by regret. Like I think he regret that he hurted Myolie and doesn't want anyone else to hurt her...

So yeahh those are just my thoughts and theories about their breakup...I don't know if I'm watching too much series to have written that xD But anyways, you don't have to believe it or get mad if you don't agree with me, once again, it's just my own opinion :)

Just wanted to share some of their sweetest moments together a last time....

Wars of In-Laws II 's sub-theme song they sang together...

Myolie's speech last year at the TVB Anniversary Awards...(Sorry for the quality...the best video I could find...Yes..I already posted it on my other post, but this time, focus at the end!!)

My fav. TVB dramas [The Hippocratic Crush] + review

I've watched a few dramas this summer...and among all of them, The Hippocratic Crush is my favorite one! :) It's also the first one I saw this summer :P

So first of all...there USE to be only one actress I like in the serie, Tavia Yeung, so I was hesitating if I should watch it. But since it had extremely high ratings, my friend said it was good, and I thought a medical serie would be interesting, I made the right decision to watch it :) I thought the newbies and the new supporting actors who became second leads acted really good! (I mean Mandy Wong, Him Law, Nathan Ngai, Candy Chang) Of course, Tavia did well as usual. This serie also made me change my mind on Kenneth..I used to not like him that much but after THC, I began to kinda like him :3 Plus I always love supporting roles in series... I loved loved loved the relationship between Candy and Nathan!! I was so sad when he died at the end :( And also, following THC, I loved Candy so much that I started a blog for her, as you might now :) Hehe and I also began to really like Mandy Wong...I haven't noticed her much until now!! Thought she did really good acting as Tavia's "cool" sister...plus they kinda look alike cause of their haircut xD Although I'm not a fan of Paisley Hu or Derek Kok, I. LOVED. THEIR. RELATIONSHIP.!!! They were so funny together....I kinda knew since the beginning that they were gonna end up together since with TVB, fighting people always end up as a couple, but even though, I couldn't wait to see them in love :3 Plus...I really liked the part with Brian Tse (I think it's his name?) helped the girl who liked to play violin. And also...I liked that guy who played the rich doctor who didn't like to be doctor and was interested in cars...Loved the part when he saved a guy and started really wanting to be a doctor (Couldnt find his name...if you do please tell me in the comments!) So yeah...haha when I say I like supporting roles I really do like them xD Also, I loved how the ending was a "6 months later" rather then a few years later...cause not much changed so they can film a sequel :) So yeahh :) I watched this serie mostly for Tavia but it made me discover so much....and it also kind of made me want to become a doctor xD

My Favorite TVB Actresses [#2: Myolie Wu]

Myolie Wu...goshhh this girl is so strong. I actually wasn't a huge fan of her...until last month. Aka until her break up with Bosco was announced! I will do a post on Boscolie and my views of their relationship later, but for now, let's focus on Myolie. But yeah, after that, she climbed to my #2 favorite actress. The first series I watched of Myolie were War and Destiny and Wars of In-Laws II. I was watching them with my parents at that time and didn't knew much about TVB. Since them, I've watched quite a few dramas of her on my own...but she still wasn't one of my favorite actresses. Last year when I learned about her relationship with Bosco, I was quite happy because I LOVE seeing on screen couples becoming real life couples. They were so cute. Then a few weeks ago...the news came. I know it sounds weird...but that's when I started noticing Myolie more and liking her more and more! I saw the video of her crying...I was so annoyed by the media...then Myolie had to take pictures and still kept a smile on her face. That's when I really started admiring her....She's so strong. Like really...after a breakup, being surrounded by all those reporters asking her details about her personnal relationships and reminding her of bad moments...we often see in series people who try to forget their ex after a break up...I think Myolie kinda felt like that. But the media was really not helping...but a few days later, another video came and confirmed for me that Myolie is definetly a strong girl to look up to. So just like that, she became one of my favorite actresses :) I am now watching her serie Ghetto Justice 2 and support her at 100%!!!

I'm not going to post the videos since they are full of gossips and I'm sure most of you have saw them already and know what I'm talking about....but if you really insist, here are the links:

After the breakup...I've been surfing alot of Myolie's stuff and rewatched her speech after winning the 2011 TVB Best Actress Award...once again, it proved that she's a great role model. She never gives up and keeps persevering, like when she had to gain weight to film "To Grow with Love"....I wasn't a huge fan of TVB at that time and never actually watch that drama, but I can imagine what Myolie went through....She worked so hard in TVB to be where she is now! I think she really deserved that award...she also mentionned her fans and said she hope she's a good role model to them, and yes, she is, yes, you are Myolie!! :)

Here's the video...sorry bout the quality, the best I could find! But what's important is her speech and the audio is good enough :)
