TVB look alikes

I've been waanting to write this post for a while :) It's just a bunch of pictures of tvb celebs that really look alike. I've also included past tvb artists who are not signed with TVB anymore..just because their ressemblance is quite interesting :)
Christine Kuo and Aimee Chan
I first noticed their ressemblance in Ghetto Justice, during one of Christine's crying scene. They could be twins! Funny how both of them have an accent when they speak cantonese :P

Wayne Lai and Power Chan:
When I didn't really knew tvb & the artists well, I thought they were the same person, lol. Wayne is a little older though, he could totally play Power's older brother!

Sharon Chan and Niki Chow
Noticed them the other day during the TVB awards ceremony when I thought for a while that Niki was Sharon, haha.

Bobby Au Yeung and Bob Lam
Even their names sound alikes, lol.

Maggie Cheung and Tavia Yeung
I think they played sister in some older series right? Haven't watched that..but I found the above pic of Tavia two years ago and noticed that she really looked like Maggie!

Sunny Chan and Frankie Lam
The just look identical O.o lol.

Bernice Liu and Candy Chang
Didn't notice this one until some of my tvb blogger friends pointed it out on my Candy blog :)

If you have any other ideas of TVB celebs who look alike, comment below! :)

TVB Anniversary Awards- Thoughts + Fashion

I watched the TVB awards yesterday, and I'm satisfied with pretty much all results (:

Results thoughts

I won't talk about those "variety show" or "programme" awards since I don't watch those xD But here's my thoughts on the other awards! I havent watched all the dramas, but I'll still make a comment on the important awards (:

Best Actor in a Leading Role: Wayne Lai (The Confidant
I haven't watched The Confidant...but I know that Wayne probably deserves it! He's really a great award...no wonder he won it again! (Especially since so many artist left TVB...)

Best Actress in a Leading Role: Tavia Yeung (Silver Spoon, Sterling Shackles)
I knew Tavia would win it, but I thought it would be for her role in The Hippocratic Crush instead of Silver Spoon. I haven't watched this either, but it was really time for Tavia to get this award! She has probably been working for TVB the longest, out of all the other nominees. She wasn't a pageant winner, so she really worked to get this, she used to have tiny roles such as "news reporter", or "secretary" (according to wikipedia), but she climbed her way to get Best Actress! Congratz to Tavia!

Best Actor in a Supporting Role: Koo Ming Wa (Divas In Distress
I'm watching Divas right now, so I don't have too much to say...but he's quite funny xD I haven't noticed him much, I only remember him from the soldier in Ten Brothers!

Best Actress in a Supporting Role: Nancy Wu (Gloves Come Off)
I haven't watch this serie (Yes I know I seem like I haven't watched anything xD) but I have seen Nancy in many series for the past years, and finally, she got her best supporting role award! My best memory of her acting was in Forensic Heroes III where she was nominated for this award last year too, so I guess she stepped it up even more this time! And about the actual "giving" of the award, where they called out her and Mandy, it really showed who's newbie and who's been there for long...Mandy was soooo nervous!! Haha xD I was like awww omgg :P I found it so funny when Nancy started reading, and Mandy wasn't, so Nancy was like, "We're reading this together!!!" Just had to make a comment on that xD

My Favorite TV Male Character: Kenneth Ma (The Hippocratic Crush
Heyy, this is a serie that I did watch completly, yayy finally! :D I have seen Kenneth Ma for a long time, and I think it does show in THC that he really tried to give his best, so congratz for him! (: ...Anyone noticed how nervous he was when he was receiving that award & trying to thank everyone without forgetting anyone? :P he was so cute haha xD

My Favorite TV Female Character: Kate Tsui (Highs and Lows
I haven't watched the serie xD But I was a bit disappointed about the nominations...thought Linda would be in! But I know Kate has been working hard in TVB...so yeahh (:

Most Improved Actor: Oscar Leung (L'Escargot, The Confidant, Tiger Cubs)
I only watched L'Escargot of him, but I can tell he has put a lot of efforts in his acting (: I first remember him from Shine on You (2004) where he was a student....he has grown so much from then!!!

Most Improved Actress: Mandy Wong (L'Escargot, The Hippocratic Crush, Tiger Cubs, Divas In Distress
I don't think anyone could have deserved this award better then Mandy... I have watched a lot of her dramas and I can tell she has improved a lot. I have actually never noticed her in Ghetto Justice, but in The Hippocratic Crush, I was like wow, this new artist is really good! And in L'Escargot, even more with her role as the wife/mom. When I saw Lives of Omission afterward, I saw that she has grown a lot from 2011 to 2012. She was really in it! I'm currently watching Divas, can't wait to see more from her! :D

Best Series: When Heaven Burns
This serie is airing right now on Fairchild...I haven't paid much attention to it until I heard that it won Best Serie...mmm but I think it's so-so. I thought THC was going to win!.

Fashion time (:

My favorite dresses are definitely Tavia's, Aimee's, and Mandy's. The three of them have simple dresses, but they looked beautiful in it and really suited them for the event!

Nice dresses (:

Could have chosen better...

Least favorites....

Character review: Lawyers

TVB loves legal dramas...and I do too... Eveb if some of them freak me out xD Some of them are not even legal dramas, but they lawyers play huge roles in it. I just felt like stating this list out, thought this could be pretty intersting :)

Facts: Girly, rich, spoiled, stubborn, but kind in the end

Similars :

Tavia Yeung, Myolie Wu and Nancy Wu. The three of them are so strong and confident. The three others are quite different!

The male lawyers

Smiliars

Kenneth Ma and Kevin! They remind me so much of each other.
Raymond Lam and Ruco Chan, both so ambitious!

+ One thing they all have in commun, males and females, they're all so smart and intelligent :)

If you have any other ideas of interesting lawyers, or have more facts/similarities to add, please comment below :) I'd be very interested to know what you think!

Character Review [Tavia Yeung]

After Linda, the person who I've seen the most series of is probably Tavia :) (I will eventually finish my character review of Linda and do a favorite actress post for Tavia) xD So here's the review of all of her characters I've watched ;) Although I'm doing it in order of the release dates of the serie, this is NOT the order that I've watch them!

Ah Yan in Yummy Yummy (Food for life)
Wow...I've watch this serie like in 2010 even if it came out way before just because of Tavia and Raymond....now looking back, she looks SO different!! Hum..in her recent series, she plays more "strong girl" roles, like in TOT and in THC...back then she was younger, and had roles of the little sister, and innocent girl.

Jackie in Heart of Greed
I love seeing characters who evoluate throughout the serie...and Jackie definetly did!! I love how she used to be hated by Gilbert (Bosco Wong)'s family, but they learned to know her and her background and accepted her in the end after she showed how she changed :)

Ho Fa in On the First Beat
Umm..out of all series, this is definetly the one I've watched when I was youngest...didn't know Tavia was in it till I looked for Tavia's drama list in wikipedia! Haha at that time I didn't knew TVB artists' names...so not much to say... xD

Joey in Fathers and Sons
Ouhhh, I loved this character! I loved how caring she is and how much she loved children :) Ididn't liked the pairing with Wong He, but luckly she ended up with Chris Lai which is much better then Wong He!! :) This character left me a deep impression...I don't know why...I think it's, again, because she likes to take care of children and it really showed in the serie :)

Ah Yuet in Moonlight Resonance
I loved loved loved her character! She was a stubborn girl with a nice heart...Everything Sa Yi and Ka Mei did to her made me feel very sad for her :( She had a really awkard relationship with Ah Ka since they were siblings, although she was adopted. And I think she did really well in her numerous crying scenes, no wonder why she won the Best Supporting Actress award that year!

Ah Suet in Sweetnest in the Salt
Hmmmm for some reason, even if I remember that I really insisted on watching this serie for Tavia, I don't think it was a too memorable character/serie...Actually I don't remember too much about the storyline, only the ending, when she reunited with Steven Ma, I was quite happy for her xD

Yiu Kam Ling in Beyond the Realm of Conscience
Now, that was a memorable serie and character! :D It showed such a different side of Tavia and her acting skills! I really support her for winning My Favorite Female Character, she deserved it so much! I mean, I think we can all see that she worked very hard to enter the character, the way she talks, her voice, how she acts, everything!

Sai Lai Miu in The Mysteries of Love
Umm...for this character and serie...it's a bit like Swetnest in the Salt...didn't left me a too deep memory. But I enjoyed watching FungYi :D I think they make such a perfect matching and they're so cute together ;) I'm so glad they ended up together in the serie!

Sze Long in The Rippling Blossom
I think I'd say the serie overall and all the characters was...interesting but not that good. Like the plot was intriguing, but it was everything was a bit random....I have not mugh to say on Tavia's character...And I think the pairing with Michael Tse wa so-so....

Miss Ho in Yes, Sir! Sorry, Sir!
Miss Ho...another one of Tavia's sweet, innocent, and nice character. Reminds me a bit of Joey in Fathers and Sons I guest...even if this time she's a teacher for high school students, she still loves to help -this time not children but teenagers, or just her students. I would rather her end up with Ron, but I guess with Moses it's not bad either!

Mavis in The Other Truth
Mavis is another awsome character of  Tavia :) I loved how professional she looked as a lawyer, and her changing relationships with Raymond Wong and Ruco Chan too :) She was annoyed by both in the beginning of the serie, but at the end, she loves both of them and has a hard time choosing which one she wanted to be with.

Yu Jai in The Hippocratic Crush
Like in The Other Truth...loved the professionalism Tavia had and it was as if she really knew what she was doing as a doctor :) In this time, unlike in Yummy Yummy, Tavia has now grew up and plays the big sister role in the traditional "long lost sister" tvb storyline with Mandy Wong! Lovedd her role and just the serie overall!

Hum...actually, after listing all that out, I think I've watched more series of Tavia then Linda! :O Haha i'll see that after my Linda post :) For now...I don't really have "favorites" for Tavia's roles...love most of them except the ones I mention I didn't like/remember too much!
