The TVB 2013 Awards will be happening soon, and the nominations lists are already out. I wanted to share my hopes for who will win what awards and all. I haven't watched all series this year (like every year..), so of course, I know my point of view is limited on the few series I've watched.. & it is also mainly based on my general likes/dislikes of the artists & my personal favorites of this year!

Status:
-Missing You - Completed!
-Friendly Fire - Dropped after ep2, , not because it was not good but because I didn't have enough time. It has been a year that I've been telling myself to watch this. Not sure if it will eventually happen :/
-Inbound Troubles -Completed!
-The Days of Days - Skipped
-Season of Love - Completed!
-Reality Check - Skipped
-Sergeant Tabloid - Dropped after  ep2, same reason as for Friendly Fire
-A Great Way to Care II - Completed!
-Bullet Brain - Skipped
-Slow Boat Home - Dropped after 5ep, not much interesting too watch...
-Awfully Lawful - Skipped
-A Change of Heart - Skipped
-Karma Rider - Skipped
-Triumph in the Skies II - Caught parts of when my family was watching, might watch later
-Always and Ever - Skipped
-Sniper Standoff -Skipped
-Brother's Keeper - Skipped, will watch during the holidays!
-Will Power - Caught parts of when my family was watching, might watch later.
-The Hippocratic Crush II - Watching!

Note: I feel like I've wasted my time watching Missing You & Season of Love while I could be watching something better. Sigh. Did I miss on a lot of interesting series? Please comment below so I can catch up on the must-watch stuffs during my X'mas break! :)

My hopes for the award & my personal favorites:

My Favorite TVB couple [Manhim]

Mandy and Him are officialy my favorite on-screen couple after watching Divas in Distress!!! They're just wayy too cute together.

Jayne stars have many articles on them, you can check them out here :
http://www.jaynestars.com/news/mandy-wong-him-law-is-not-my-cup-of-tea/
http://www.jaynestars.com/news/him-law-and-mandy-wong-share-bed-scene-in-divas-in-distress/
http://www.jaynestars.com/news/him-law-and-mandy-wongs-puppy-love-relationship/

Even if Mandy is two years older them Him, they really share a special chemistry with each other, and maybee it's because they have collaborated so much together, and know each other well. They have been seen last year in Suspects in Love, L'Escargot,The Hippocratic Crush, Tiger Cubs and Divas in Distress. Altough I watched L'Escargot, THC and DID and they were only playing a couple in DID, the fact that they are both newbies and at the same level of  "TVB popularity", I really like seeing them together :) I am now even considering watching Tiger Cubs..just to see them together!
Check out here the GIFs from tumblr that I posted of Mandy & Him :)
I swear that on tumblr, you just have to type in "Divas In Distress" and almost everything you'll get is on Mandy and Him!! I guess I'm not the only one who really likes them as a couple :P
Look at the pic just above.....don't they seem like such a CUTE couple???

Haha anyways...here are more stufff I found of them :D I did NOT make those...so credits to tumblr and youtube!!

Random nice fanvideos I've found on Youtube :)

Interview with them : )

Raymond Lam, Kevin Cheng and Ron Ng are my top 3 favorite actors in TVB :) Unlike for the female artists...idk...I have not that much to say about them xD I guess I like them just because they're good looking  and they can act well...loll...actually there are many who can act well but I like the three of them most :) Will do more posts about my favorite male artist in TVB...but for now, Raymond, Kevin and Ron are my top 3 :)

My Favorite Characters + Partial Review [Linda Chung]

I originally posted this on Linda chung thoughts...but I thought I could post it here too :) Later, I'll do a full review of all of Linda's character (That I've seen) but for now, here are my 5 favorite ones :)

5- Ko Yu Chu in Daddy Good Deeds
This is the last completed serie of Linda that I watch and I really liked Ko Yu Chu's character. She was very funny (The whole serie was funny :P) but she was also a very warm-hearted cop. I also really enjoyed the family relationships because each character was extremely family-orientated.

4- Miss Koo in Yes, Sir! Sorry, Sir!
I think this serie really showed a different side of Linda's acting and she really did a good job at acting cool. Throughout the serie, it was interesting how her relationships with others (Law sir, Miss Hoo and the students) changed from cool and serious to kind and friendly.

3- Ng Say-duk in Can't Buy Me Love
In this serie, I liked Linda's character because she was so friendly, kind and honest, like when she revealed that Chiu Yeung was the real princess and not her. It was also funny to see how much she could eat and how strong she was in the first episodes :)

2-Yu So Sam in Moonlight resonance
This serie was one of the first serie I ever watched and also my favorite serie! It made me like Linda, Tavia Yeung, Fala Chen, Raymond Lam, Bosco, Chris Lai and Michelle Yim. It was also because of this serie that I started watching other TVB series...so...Yu So Sam was definetly my favorite character in the whole serie. She was very honest, like when she told the truth to the police about her grandmother's death. She was intelligent and made good decisions, even if it was though for her to betray her mother. Her relationship with Goon Ga Jai  (Raymond) was also very interesting, how they loved each other when they were young, how they came back together, Ah Sam's mother's opposition, how they can't be together because of their different social class and because they're stepsiblings, how Dr.Ling (Bosco) came in between them...etc. So I really really really enjoyed this serie!! ;)

1- Sze Ka Ka in A Journey Called Life
Sze Ka Ka is my favorite role of Linda yet. I LOVED to see her evolution, how she was became from a "bad girl" to a well-behaved girl after her friend's death, how her hairstlye and clothes changed, how her relation with Shing Yat-On (Steven) and his family changed and how her relation with her own parents changed. Her relationship with Shing Yat-On also went through many obstacles, like his mother's opposition, their marriage ruined by Ka Ka's stepmom and the loss of their baby. So, this is my favorite character of Linda because we could really see how she evoluated all through the serie :)

My fav. TVB dramas [#1: Moonlight Resonance] + Review

I think I could talk about this drama all day an do like a thousand posts on this... I love it so much! I think I've watch it over 15 times.

Why do I like this serie so much? I think its because I love seeing siblings that close. I dont have any siblings, i wish I did. So I really love watching series tht focus a lot on family and siblings. I loves to see them help each other out nomatter what happens. I also love long series, because they seem to be never ending. I know this post is short, I'll do a post on MR characters soon :)

My fav. TVB dramas [The Hippocratic Crush] + review

I've watched a few dramas this summer...and among all of them, The Hippocratic Crush is my favorite one! :) It's also the first one I saw this summer :P

So first of all...there USE to be only one actress I like in the serie, Tavia Yeung, so I was hesitating if I should watch it. But since it had extremely high ratings, my friend said it was good, and I thought a medical serie would be interesting, I made the right decision to watch it :) I thought the newbies and the new supporting actors who became second leads acted really good! (I mean Mandy Wong, Him Law, Nathan Ngai, Candy Chang) Of course, Tavia did well as usual. This serie also made me change my mind on Kenneth..I used to not like him that much but after THC, I began to kinda like him :3 Plus I always love supporting roles in series... I loved loved loved the relationship between Candy and Nathan!! I was so sad when he died at the end :( And also, following THC, I loved Candy so much that I started a blog for her, as you might now :) Hehe and I also began to really like Mandy Wong...I haven't noticed her much until now!! Thought she did really good acting as Tavia's "cool" sister...plus they kinda look alike cause of their haircut xD Although I'm not a fan of Paisley Hu or Derek Kok, I. LOVED. THEIR. RELATIONSHIP.!!! They were so funny together....I kinda knew since the beginning that they were gonna end up together since with TVB, fighting people always end up as a couple, but even though, I couldn't wait to see them in love :3 Plus...I really liked the part with Brian Tse (I think it's his name?) helped the girl who liked to play violin. And also...I liked that guy who played the rich doctor who didn't like to be doctor and was interested in cars...Loved the part when he saved a guy and started really wanting to be a doctor (Couldnt find his name...if you do please tell me in the comments!) So yeah...haha when I say I like supporting roles I really do like them xD Also, I loved how the ending was a "6 months later" rather then a few years later...cause not much changed so they can film a sequel :) So yeahh :) I watched this serie mostly for Tavia but it made me discover so much....and it also kind of made me want to become a doctor xD

My Favorite TVB Actresses [#2: Myolie Wu]

Myolie Wu...goshhh this girl is so strong. I actually wasn't a huge fan of her...until last month. Aka until her break up with Bosco was announced! I will do a post on Boscolie and my views of their relationship later, but for now, let's focus on Myolie. But yeah, after that, she climbed to my #2 favorite actress. The first series I watched of Myolie were War and Destiny and Wars of In-Laws II. I was watching them with my parents at that time and didn't knew much about TVB. Since them, I've watched quite a few dramas of her on my own...but she still wasn't one of my favorite actresses. Last year when I learned about her relationship with Bosco, I was quite happy because I LOVE seeing on screen couples becoming real life couples. They were so cute. Then a few weeks ago...the news came. I know it sounds weird...but that's when I started noticing Myolie more and liking her more and more! I saw the video of her crying...I was so annoyed by the media...then Myolie had to take pictures and still kept a smile on her face. That's when I really started admiring her....She's so strong. Like really...after a breakup, being surrounded by all those reporters asking her details about her personnal relationships and reminding her of bad moments...we often see in series people who try to forget their ex after a break up...I think Myolie kinda felt like that. But the media was really not helping...but a few days later, another video came and confirmed for me that Myolie is definetly a strong girl to look up to. So just like that, she became one of my favorite actresses :) I am now watching her serie Ghetto Justice 2 and support her at 100%!!!

I'm not going to post the videos since they are full of gossips and I'm sure most of you have saw them already and know what I'm talking about....but if you really insist, here are the links:

After the breakup...I've been surfing alot of Myolie's stuff and rewatched her speech after winning the 2011 TVB Best Actress Award...once again, it proved that she's a great role model. She never gives up and keeps persevering, like when she had to gain weight to film "To Grow with Love"....I wasn't a huge fan of TVB at that time and never actually watch that drama, but I can imagine what Myolie went through....She worked so hard in TVB to be where she is now! I think she really deserved that award...she also mentionned her fans and said she hope she's a good role model to them, and yes, she is, yes, you are Myolie!! :)

Here's the video...sorry bout the quality, the best I could find! But what's important is her speech and the audio is good enough :)

My Favorite TVB Actresses [#1: Linda Chung]

I originally wanted to make 1 post of ALL my favorite TVB actors and actresses...but I started writting about Linda and it's already really long, so I'm gonna do one for each so I don't have to rush the post :) Plus there are always new actress I like so they'll just add up :) So these posts will be about my favorite TVB actresses and why I like them. For some reasons, I feel more attached to female artists rather then male artists...maybee because I consider them as role model... I don't know!Later, I'll do a post about male artists, but despite their looks, I have not much to say for why I like them...for Linda and some others, it's different!

Linda's sweet encouraging message
Linda Chung...my first favorite, the one who I've liked for the longest and also my #1 favorite of all time! I started liking her since moonlight resonance, the first drama of her I watched. I think she might be the TVB artists who I watched the most dramas of. I love her so much... maybee is it because I can relate to her a lot? She's from Canada, like me, (although she's from vancouver) and I admire her to be so successful. I mean...it's really hard to be good at chinese (READING!!) when you grew up here, I personnally experienced and still is experiencing it! My dream is to work in Hong kong someday, not as an actress, but I still look up to Linda for that. I know Linda had to work hard to get to this point. Also, I read lots of news that are about Linda who said she was more quiet and reserved the first 3 years she entered TVB, and after, she started coming out of her shell more and became more social with others. For that, I'm trying to be like her. I'm a very shy person and I don't talk a lot at school, but I told myself if Linda can do it, I can do it too. I don't have to be shy to talk to others...so yeah.. Plus she once posted a message on weibo that encouraged school students like me. I can pretty much say that without knowing/wanting it, Linda has helped me a lot. She encouraged me to not give up on learning how to read and write chinese and also to be more social. Also, the prank call Raymond Lam did on her a few years ago made me believe that Linda really IS a kind person. Therefore she is my favorite actress :)

Here's the video of raymond prankcalling Linda :)

After the Starhub awards & watching this video, I just continue to believe that Linda's an amazing role model. She teaches us fans and just anyone to be a HAPPY PERSON and to smile, smile, smile :)
